Die Station Marylebone hat nichts mit Mary's Knochen zu tun und wird daher auch nicht so ausgesprochen. Tatsächlich kriegen Gäste aus dem Ausland den Namen nur dann richtig hin, wenn sie hart trainiert haben! (22. 12. 2015)

Fünf Liter schwarzen Ribiselsaft drank der Gorilla Kumbuka im Londoner Zoo, nachdem er durch eine unversperrte Tür entwischt war. Weit kam er nicht, dennoch war die Aufregung groß. Eine der seltenen Gelegenheiten, das Vokabel ‚to glugg‘ zu benützen: „The incursion … culminated in Kumbuka glugging five litres of undiluted blackcurrant squash, before being … moved back to safety… .“ (20. Kerfuffle: So ein Theater!

"Donald Trump on kerfuffle over wives: Ted Cruz ‘started it’" (im Albuquerque Journal v. 28. 3. 2016). 'Kerfuffle' bedeutet 'Kuddelmuddel', 'Theater', (unnötige) 'Aufregung' oder 'Bohei'. Die richtige Aussprache ist tricky: /kəˈfʌfəl/. Am besten hier anhören! (5. 5. 2016)
